Heads up! Although the cars are decent and the prices look attractive, the company uses tricks to double or tripple the price at the time of the car pick up. Your card may not be accepted (wrong type, etc.) or other things come up... Just be prepared to pay twice the initially booking price. The website and the basic insurance are very poor. It is like a Ryanair in the car-rental world :) You actually never fly for the price you see first! The rest of the things - like the drop off procedure and the location are good. The deposit policy is adequate, in my opinion. Damage-cases are arranged via contract anyhow and I think that it's more of a psychological manoeuvre (more responsibility for the car). The employees are polite.

I came to pickup a car today and to my surprise the lady at the front desk didn’t speak English at all. The car also had further scratches than it appeared on the checklist. However, the lady made it very hard for me to add the additional ones, mostly referring to the fact that she doesn’t understand me. Unacceptable for an international company! Additionally, the car was supposed to be a non smoking car, but smelled like someone was smoking in there very much.

The employee on Saturday morning on 10th of October 2020 had a bad mood and was talking very rudely. I don't know if he had a bad day or not but it was unprofessional. No advices, he gave me another category of cars saying that \i have only fiat ciquentcendo and if you like it\. For this specific person I can say that he need vacation..

They want to charge me EUR 1.014,91 for a tiny scratch that I apparently made on the drivers door (see photo - the scratch is in the orange circled line). I returned the car at 3 am (as agreed with them) where the office was closed. But they are telling me that I am reliable for the car until an employee gets it during the office hours. It is a scam - from different reviews I read they always find a scratch and then charge almost the exact amount of your deposit or the excess amount. I am very disappointed in Europcar Vienna and unfortunately will not recommend them to anyone.

Got the car I ordered. No issues. Smooth rent and return. Only thing to improve: could be nice if there staff knew how to setup the baby seat they rent

All good till the refund of the security deposit process. I was provided with an upgrade a good car. The processing didn't take much time. But it has been around a week that I returned the car and I still have not received the refund of the security deposit amount of around 800 Euros. My queries raised to them have remained unanswered. I really helpless now and do not know what to do to get back this amount. Yes when I delivered the car the person checked and confirmed that everything was OK with the car so cannot understand why the amount has not been returned.

Would not reserve a car through Europcar ever again! When we picked up the car in Salzburg it was heavily damaged on the right side. This was noted on the contract but for some strange reason the attendant pulled the car out and parked it so close to the wall the so tire and rim damage were not noted. The attendant in the dark Vienna underground garage seemed to gravitate straight to the suspect tire. My husband pointed out that it was heavily oxidized and old damage, likely happened when the rest of the car was damaged. Why were we even given a damaged car in the first place? It wasn’t the model I booked! We paid for full non deductible coverage but of course that doesn’t cover tires. All very suspect! I have written several reviews warning people so that they are not put into the same position we were.
